"The Wait".... 7 weeks since LID

"You see, faith opens the door to God's promise for you.
And patience keeps it open until that promise is fulfilled."
~Kenneth Copeland

We have entered the next phase on our journey to Lia Grace.  Unfortunately, this is THE hardest and THE worst part of the whole process, and we knew it would be. There is nothing for us to do but wait. There are no papers to chase, no appointments to make, no visits with our social worker (until after she comes home), nothing. It's just hard. Bottom line.

What are we waiting for? We are waiting for "the call". The call that will change everything for both a little girl waiting in Chin@ and our family waiting here. The call will come from Denver but exactly when will that call come? We don't know. (If you thought I was attached to my phone before, well, I'm a bit obsessed now-ha! *winks)

There is good news though. The waiting continues to grow us.  We are confident in and trust in His timing. We know that He knows who our daughter is and we know that He has a plan for her. Even though there are days like we feel like we have been "forgotten", as we watch others receive their referrals, we remain faithful and know what He will deliver what He has promised to us.

We have plugged into the most ah-mazing adoption support groups ever, and we have met even more wonderful families. We have watched families grow,  and rejoiced from afar, as they have received their referrals, and we have grieved with families as they have tearfully had to return files. We have been able to share words of encouragement and minister to them in times of their grief, knowing just how hard saying no is.

In one of the adoption groups I am a part of, we have "secret pals". The purpose of a secret pal is to provide encouragement through monthly gifts and encouraging words, even though their identity must remain a secret. My first package arrived from my pal last week and this is what came:
I can't wait to read these ADORABLE books to Lia Grace!
The best part is that I have been eyeing these books for her! :)

So, as hard as the waiting is, we will remain patient. God is still on the throne,  He is in control, and the door is still open.
